Fall Fundraising Event

Q: What are concession?

A: Concessions are the small kiosk/stands that sell snacks and drinks at events. When participating in this event, you'll be selling food on behalf of FMA teaming up with other members of the Spartan Football Concessions Team.


 

Q: Where is it located?

A: At the CEFCU Spartan Stadium: 1251 S 10th St, San Jose, CA 95112, which is a mile away from campus. You will also be assigned a stand/booth at different points within the stadium. Make sure to check in with the SJSU staff!


Q: What will I be doing there?

A: Depending on the need of the rest of the staff, you could be working as cash register or cook. Jobs also vary depending on your location within the stadium.


Q: Will I be able to take a break?

A: You are required to take a 15-minute break in between your shift. Just coordinate with the supervisor and take your break. During your break you are more than welcome to help yourself to some concession stand foods.


Q: What do I get out of this?

A: Working concessions is a great way to meet other members and form a new connection with others. FMA also recognizes those who work the concessions; for instance, if you do plan to run for an officer position, we do consider your contribution to the club. Lastly, you get the satisfaction of raising FMA money! In addition, depending on the supervisor, you may be able to take some of the cooked food or perishable food items home! 


Q: What else is required of me?

A: It is required that everyone wears long pants and closed toe shoes!
