SPRING 2018 FMA Officer Board


Tiffany Chao


Tiffany is a senior accounting major who joined FMA during fall of 2014. She served as VP of Membership, Director of Fundraising, and SVP before taking on her current President role. FMA was the platform that gave her the confidence to take on her first leadership role on campus. Furthermore, the organization has helped her acquire the skills she needed to seek other opportunities on campus, which is why she is passionate about the organization and what it offers. In the four years she has been an active member within FMA, she has been able to witness and contribute to FMA's impact within the Lucas College of Business and campus community. As President, Tiffany aims to increase the involvement and excitement within the organization. She also strives to find different ways to recognize active, contributing members such as through scholarships, Humans of FMA, and Member of the Month. Aside from FMA, Tiffany serves as a peer mentor on campus, and has also been part of the Sbona Honors Program. During the summer, she completed an accounting internship with Burr Pilger Mayer, but will be starting full-time as an assurance associate at Ernst & Young upon graduation. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking and spending time outdoors.

Matthew Chao

VP of Operations

Matthew is a Sophomore who is currently pursuing a career path in Accounting. He was previously involved in FMA as part of the finance committee and as the Historian. He aims to inspire younger students to chase after internship and leadership opportunities. Outside of FMA, he acts as the National Communications Coordinator for Residence Hall Association. Since joining FMA, he has learned the importance of networking and building relationships with members and professionals. He hopes to share his experiences of the business world to passionate students. His hobbies include taking portrait and landscape photos, traveling, and bouldering. 



Divya Ramachandran

VP of Marketing

Divya is a Sophomore majoring in Business Analytics. She joined FMA Fall 2017, and has been an active member since. She was involved in the Social Events committee and was awarded the "Member of the Month" award. FMA has helped Divya take on more demanding roles as well as learn to network and create new relationships with people on various platforms. Aside from school, Divya has been trained in Indian classical music and dance, and during her freshman year at SJSU, she was part of SJSU Sahaara, the university's competitive Bollywood dance team. When Divya isn't busy with FMA or school, she enjoys portrait photography, dog parks, and car shows. 


Brandon Luong

Director of Fundraising

Brandon Luong is a junior business finance major. He joined FMA in Fall 2017 to try to make the most out of his college experience and was part of the Finance Committee. He works for two places at the moment while he tries to balance his education. He hopes to gain a lot of experience in this new role while trying to increase more members to be active in committees. His hobbies include playing PC games and binge watching Korean dramas.

Paul Castaneda

VP of External Affairs

Paul Castaneda is a sophomore corporate finance and accounting major. He joined FMA his first year during Fall 2016. He has been active throughout his FMA career joining the External Affairs committee his first two semesters and then taking on the Officer position last year. This is his second semester as the VP of External Affairs. Paul grew up in Carson, California and some of his hobbies include watching basketball and going bowling with friends. Paul joined FMA to expand his network and knowledge of the business world. He takes advantage of the company tours, resume workshops, as well as LinkedIn headshots provided by FMA. Paul hopes that every member gets to experience FMA like he did.



Deepthi Guntipally


Deepthi Guntipally is a sophomore majoring in finance and is set to graduate in 2020. Prior to becoming Treasurer, Deepthi was in the Finance Committee and Social Committee. She has been working as a math instructor for Mathnasium since 2016. Deepthi has trained in various styles of dance and was part of SJSU Sahaara, a Bollywood and Hip-Hop fusion dance team, her freshman year. Outside of school and work, Deepthi loves to read and spend time with her family!

Karl Cheng

VP of Membership

Karl is a Southern Cal local, junior transfer, and corporate accounting and finance major who joined FMA in Fall 2017. He was previously a member of the membership committee. He hopes to bring FMA to a wider audience in the SJSU transfer community. In his free time, he enjoys all things Disney parks, Korean culture, volleyball and YouTube.


Charles Pham

Director of Social Events

Charles Nghi Pham (the First of his Name of the House Pham) is a third year student studying Management Information Systems. He has been a proud and happy member of the club for three semesters. He has also been a member of Social Events Committee for the past two semesters. By being the head of the Social Committee, he aims to bring the club closer and for the club to network with the other business clubs. His favorite hobbies include playing Yugioh, singing terrible karaoke, playing piano, rewatching Game of Thrones, and reading Stephen King.
